Does Soundscape Perception Lead to Environmentally Responsible Behavior? A Case Study in Longcanggou Forest Park, China

Soundscape perception (SP) plays an important role in promoting tourist-place interaction and enhancing tourists’ environmentally responsible behavior (ERB). In this study, we defined SP as a second-order factor investigated its relationships with place attachment (PA) ERB using structural equation modeling (SEM). Our aim was to identify how soundscape could be improved enhance the of forest park tourists. results confirm multidimensionality SP, i.e., three subdimensions physical (PSP), psychological (SSP), regional (RSP). Furthermore, our SEM show that PA mediates effect on high-effort (HERB). empirical also reveal enhancement SSP will foster their ERB. This study therefore extends multisensory landscape literature by offering insights into relationship between PA, findings provide evidence for understanding influence parks demonstrate should considered context design.
